The Challenge

TaskMaster is a workforce solutions provider, with almost 30 years of experience in a range of sectors, such as the Public Sector, Driving, Industrial and Commercial. Ready for a period of growth, TaskMaster approached Marmalade Marketing with a specific challenge: despite their remarkable success and long-standing partnerships, TaskMaster faced two key issues.

Firstly, they had earned a reputation as the "best-kept secret" in their industry, a testament to their excellent work but also an indication of their struggles with communicating their expertise and success. Secondly, their brand identity felt outdated and inconsistent across their brand divisions, leading to disjointed efforts when presenting TaskMaster to clients and external partners.

Our Approach

It's important to take a strategic approach to rebranding projects. After all, they're much more than new logos and colour palettes. Rebrands are often an opportunity for an organisation to reinvent its identity, as well as give things a fresh coat of paint. This means everything gets a new lease of life, from aesthetics through to content strategy.

Marmalade Marketing embarked on an intensive brand discovery journey, which involved immersive workshops, interactive discussions with the wider TaskMaster team and in-depth competitor research.

The goal here was to understand the key elements of the TaskMaster brand, including the brand’s unique strengths, aspirations and historic success to set the scene for a rebrand which felt authentic and represented the team well.

Building on the insights from the brand discovery, Marmalade Marketing's creative team undertook the task of revitalising TaskMaster's visual identity. This involved a visual refresh, including a logo which built on the existing brand mark, a new colour palette, a distinctive typeface, and tailored imagery styles for each of TaskMaster's brand divisions.

TaskMaster's online presence was also a critical aspect of its brand evolution. The website required a complete overhaul to align with the new brand identity and provide an improved, user-friendly experience

We supported TaskMaster with new website content and imagery and advised on how their website developers could interpret the refreshed brand so that the website could effectively communicate TaskMaster's expertise, rich history, and extensive reach.

Our Results

The revised brand resonated strongly with both internal and external stakeholders. TaskMaster's messaging and design became aligned, helping them to stand out in a competitive landscape. Their clients also recognised the brand's uniqueness and distinctiveness as displayed through the new brand, which now also fosters a sense of pride and unity among TaskMaster's team, reinforcing their commitment to making a positive impact.
