Marmalade Marketing is seeking a highly experienced Senior CRM and Marketing Automation Specialist to support our growing agency team. You will play a pivotal role in bridging marketing strategy with systems execution, working with both internal stakeholders and high-growth clients across the UK and international markets.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone with 5+ years' experience in marketing operations, CRM platform management (particularly HubSpot), and website performance optimisation. The successful candidate will demonstrate both strategic thinking and strong delivery capabilities, supporting the implementation of sophisticated digital marketing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Marketing Delivery

  • Lead the configuration, integration, and optimisation of SaaS-based sales and marketing platforms, including HubSpot, Bullhorn Automations, Force24, Clay, Mailchimp, SmartLead, and others.
  • Set up and manage lead generation workflows, marketing automations, nurture sequences, CRM triggers, and segmentation frameworks, and understanding of data and segmentation - both cold and warm data sets. 
  • Conduct system audits (e.g. HubSpot Health Checks) and implement improvements aligned to marketing and sales objectives.

Website Performance Management

  • Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure websites are optimised for conversion, usability, speed, SEO, and campaign tracking.
  • Monitor and report on website and landing page performance using GA4, Looker Studio, and HubSpot analytics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve UX and lead generation effectiveness through CRO and technical best practices.

Campaign Execution

  • Support the delivery of integrated campaigns across email, paid media, social, and content platforms.
  • Ensure robust tracking, reporting, and tagging are in place for all campaigns.
  • Troubleshoot campaign delivery issues, advising teams on technical and operational solutions

Systems and Infrastructure

  • Align marketing system architecture with broader CRM, sales, and service processes.
  • Maintain data integrity, GDPR compliance, and performance accuracy across all platforms.
  • Provide documentation and platform training where required.

Project and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage technical workstreams, ensuring delivery to deadlines, budgets, and agreed scopes.
  • Liaise directly with clients, supporting both strategic planning and day-to-day technical implementation.
  • Collaborate with wider teams, including copywriters, strategists, designers, and developers, to ensure cohesive delivery.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical marketing, digital operations, or marketing automation roles.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with HubSpot, including workflow design, list segmentation, custom reporting, and integration with other platforms.
  • Familiarity with additional  CRMs and tools such as Bullhorn, Bullhorn Automations, Mercury Xrm, Vincere CRM, SalesForce, Mailchimp, Force24, Clay, ActiveCampaign, and Apollo.
  • Strong understanding of website optimisation, content tagging, tracking set-up, and lead capture strategies.
  • Confident using tools such as GA4, Looker Studio, WordPress, Webflow, and associated third-party integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill technical insight into clear, client-friendly language.
  • Exceptional organisation and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise across multiple clients and campaigns.
